The second semi-custom award for March is a suncatcher/ornament that is approx. 3"high x 2 1/4" wide. This boldly strutting Leprechaun will be screenprinted in black on a pretty piece of green see-through glass. There will be a lighter green hanging ribbon tied through the two holes on top. The edges of the glass will be firepolished in the kiln. Your club can have or not have the date or the AVV/IVV. Cost: $2.25 each plus shipping, min of 10. No reorders. Deadline for ordering: Jan 29. They should be shipped the last week in Feb.

This is one of the two semi-custom awards for March. This little guy will be silkscreened/painted/fired on a 3 5/8"x 3 5/8" octagonal almond colored glazed ceramic coaster tile.The lettering and outlines will be in a dark brown; our little hiker will be painted a medium green, his hat, socks, and guide will be some sort of charteuse green, and his shoes will be a lighter brown. There is a 3" cork circle on the back to protect table surfaces. Your club may choose to have or not have the tile name, the date, or the AVA/IVV. Cost: $2.50 each plus shipping, min of 10 items. Deadline for ordering:Jan 29. Orders should be shipped last week in Feb. No reorders.

I just discovered how short these pages are!

Continuing from page one for the second method of my monthly award offerings: I will soon post the graphics and a description of the awards. Your club will be able to choose various options of the design: you can choose whether or not to have the AVA/IVV, the name of the award (e.g. "Walk o' the Irish"), and the date. These awards will usually be around $2.50 each plus shipping, minimum of 10 items.. Because these would not be customized with your club's name,etc., there is no setup fee. There will be order deadlines for these awards so that I can get them made and shipped in time for the month's events.

To order any of my awards you will have to contact me directly either by e-mail, phone, or regular mail. (I'll figure out where to post that information--I think I'm almost out of a posting page already.)

This brand new blog site is a bit on the primitive side yet, so please bear with me and give me a chance to get my sea legs. I am trying to take a somewhat different approach to making my studio's volksmarch awards more widely available and thought that this might be the way to go. I have two ways I'd like to go with the wide variety of awards that I make.

The first way is to offer items I already have made up. These would be very generic in that the items do not have the AVA/IVV info on them, but that and walk name, club name, date, etc., could could be put on these items with stick on labels or pieces of paper. These items will range in price, but most of them will be $1.99 each plus shipping. The minimum order will be 10 items, but you can mix different items. (I just want orders big enough to be worth packing and shipping.) I will get scans of the items and their descriptions on the site as soon as I can.

The second way is that I plan to offer at least two different awards for each month. Because of my needed lead time I will be starting with March. I will soon post graphics and descriptions of each of the proposed awards.
